100hr Sequencing Training
What do you want to teach your students?
Unlock the art of purposeful posture instruction in our Sequencing (Flow & Calm) Teacher Training. Learn to craft sequences that guide students towards peak postures while fostering a deeper understanding of movement. Discover how to teach not just postures, but essential skills—such as body mechanics, joint isolation, and active range of motion—that empower students to embody their practice beyond the mat. Make challenging poses accessible and create sequences that serve as roadmaps for students to explore movement patterns, expand their range of motion, and master transitions. Immerse yourself in an environment of challenge, exploration, and play, as you cultivate the skills and confidence to lead transformative yoga experiences.
This sequencing training involves both the flow and calm method practices taught at nook.
Three weekends are based on the flow, designed to inform teachers how to curate a class based on a theme or peak posture. Lectures include mobility, advanced theming, and effective cueing in a flow. There will also be a focus on understanding the core and teaching handstands and arm balances to help build confidence in these areas. Students will practice sequencing and practice teaching to get feedback on both planning and executing.
This part of the course includes a manual with a layout of our sequencing principles and method, breakdown of 16 postures that we will work through in training and examples of sequences.
The calm method is the final weekend. Lectures involve the neuroscience of restorative yoga and meditation practices as well as breath work. While labs deliver posture breakdowns and sequencing for calm yoga classes (inspired by yin, restorative and meditation).
We ask anyone enrolling to have completed a minimum of 200hours of yoga training. It will be useful to have some experience teaching yoga so that you’re familiar with basic concepts of anatomy, foundational yoga postures and have practiced your teaching skills. We recommend applicants have a regular flow practice and experience with meditation.
