The emphasis in the Mindfulness Yoga Teacher Training program is on helping the student develop into a confident and safe yoga teacher. The program is unique in that there are 8 to 10 new students in each session. This low number offers the opportunity for one on one instruction from the instructors and instruction suited to the individual trainee.The program also is unique in how many hours it offers of hands on anatomy and how to develop the ability to make safe corrections. Training the eye to see a body so that safe adjustments can be made is needed for today's yoga teachers. This emphasis promotes health in the body to both prevent and heal injuries from imbalance in the body.
Students will learn a variety of teaching formats including an introduction to Ashtanga, a gentle beginner class and centering restorative class as well as introductory Iyengar practices.
