About Me

Sam was born and raised in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island. She started practicing yoga at 14 years of age, teaching at 18.
She was professional singer and actor in her early childhood into late teens, a successful long distance runner, from the ages 14-19 and since 2013, a self taught contortionist now performing professionally.
In 2000 and 2003 Dubinsky was shortlisted twice for Cirque Du Soliel’s QUIDAM show as the role of Zoe.
Yoga inspired her to teach after battling an eating disorder in 2007 at 17 years old.
She connected with Kavita Maharaj in her hometown Nanaimo and soon took the teacher training. She became more connected to the benefits it was giving her mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Though she was teaching shortly after , within a couple years, in early 2010 Sam relapsed with anorexia again - putting her in Vancouver’s St Paul’s Hospital eating disorder program for a couple months.
It was depression and severe stress that took over her life again to a deadly state this time, coining her as the worst case in Canadian history that year.
It was this time around that Sam regained confidence and self esteem, recognizing how precious life is.
In the fall of 2011 she took another month intensive yoga training in Costa Rica. Between 2012-2016 Dubinsky was teaching yoga, and became a self taught contortionist.
She has primarily worked in the gym setting so far in her career including Goodlife Fitness in Edmonton from 2016 to early 2020.
Sam moved back to BC, in 2020 to Vancouver to pursue yoga, meditation and contortion opportunities.
She currently teaches at VNYSA at UBC, Uphoria Yoga and House Concepts.
