About Me

I have been working with children and families for over 27 years. Before opening my studio, I operated my own daycare and supported countless children through early childhood development. I also spent many years working directly in family homes as a parenting coach, helping parents understand their children’s emotional needs, behaviour patterns, and responses. In that role, I created supportive plans for families and worked hands-on with children from diverse developmental backgrounds.

I later hosted a parenting show called Parenting for Today’s Child and wrote a parenting course titled Parenting with Resilience, which focused on emotional regulation, mindfulness, and connection-based parenting. I am also a mother of four: Nathan (27), Joshua (26), Jacob (23), and Chloe (13). My three oldest boys all had unique needs growing up—ranging from autism to medical complexities—which deeply shaped my understanding of children’s emotional, behavioural, and sensory worlds. My lived experience as a mother is one of the strongest foundations in my work and the reason I created my children’s wellness programs.

I am inspired by leaders such as Jack Kornfield, Eckhart Tolle, Dr. Gabor Maté, and parenting expert Dr. Becky Kennedy. Their teachings, along with my own personal and professional experience, inform my approach to children’s mindfulness, movement, emotional regulation, and suspension-yoga practices. I have completed five Advanced Modern Mindfulness courses at McMaster University Continuing Education,, along with children’s suspension yoga and suspension yoga training, which strongly inform my approach to mindful movement, emotional awareness, and supporting children’s wellbeing.

Today, I am the Owner & Founder of Yoga-Tastic 4 Kids Inc., a children’s suspension-yoga and mindfulness studio in Burlington, Ontario. Our studio quickly became well-known in the community because of the meaningful support we provide to children and families. Over the years, Yoga-Tastic 4 Kids has grown into a trusted and loved space for children’s emotional wellness, confidence-building, and mindful movement.

Even through the pandemic, we stood strong, continued serving families, and built deep relationships in our community. After five years of continuous growth, we are now expanding into a new studio—three times the size of our current space—thanks to the incredible support and belief from our community. This expansion allows us to reach even more children and continue offering a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment where every child can thrive.

About My Service

I teach children’s yoga and mindfulness through a suspension-based movement program created specifically for kids. My classes integrate breathwork, mindful awareness, emotional regulation, and gentle movement practices using safe suspension-yoga techniques to support strength, mobility, confidence, and positive self-esteem. I focus on creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment where children learn body awareness, grounding skills, and tools to navigate their emotions. My teaching blends suspension yoga, mindfulness education, child development principles, and trauma-informed approaches to help children build resilience, focus, and a deeper connection to themselves.
