About Me

I began practicing yoga as a way to learn to self regulate. Within it, I have found so many gifts which I felt compelled to become educated enough to share with others, in hopes it will help them as much as it has me.
I'm a mom of two beautiful boys, one here on earth and one forever 9 years old. I have always been a sensitive person, someone who wants to help people, someone who senses other people's emotions keenly. Being on a medical journey with my oldest son heightened this ability and need, and I believe guiding people in yoga is a large part of my dharma, in order to assist people in processing their emotions in a unified way. Something I can guide, while they will ultimately do this work on their own, instinctively, as this is what I've found has happened as Yoga opened these pathways for me.
I love reading, music, being outside with my family and my rescue dog (still not sure who rescued who). I enjoy travel and have a diploma in Travel, Tourism, and Hospitality. I've mostly worked in restaurants and hotels, I love interacting with people and trying to make their day better in all the little ways that are possible. I also appreciate that these interactions are somewhat brief, as I'm also someone who needs a lot of downtime to recharge after much social engagement.
I'm the Executive Board President of a national, volunteer-run charity with aims to cure the rare, genetic disease that my oldest son suffered with, and am active in the Rare Disease community in North America.

About My Service

I will mostly focus on restorative practices, taught from a Vini foundation, which will incorporate embodiment practices. Some vinyasa, hatha and yin will intermingle, depending on the class and needs of the students.
Currently, I have been offered a position at a senior's recreation facility, so it will be a very gentle exploration.
