About Me

I have been doing yoga for myself for over 20 years due to a back injury suffered while serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. I found after attempting many different treatments Yoga is the only one that keeps me mobile and my pain at a manageable level. I incorporate Yoga into my everyday life and use every opportunity and down moment to get a stretch in. My philosophy is it should be a part of your everyday life and not something you have to force on yourself through organized classes that cost an exorbitant amount of money.

I am a Police Officer and teach Hatha yoga to other 911 responders who spend a large part of their work day sitting in a car or ambulance waiting for the next call. The equipment worn by first responders and the activities we are called to engage in make yoga an excellent addition to our lives. It helps with the mental and physical toll a stressful and physical job like this can have on us. I hope to show how everyone can incorporate it into the small spots of down time in a shift so it leaves you feeling more able to face the next call.
