Trauma Sensitive Yoga West offers a 20-hr training in Trauma Center-Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), a pre-requisite for the 300-hr TCTSY Certification. Yoga Teachers and professionals working with trauma survivors will walk away from this training with skills to integrate a trauma informed lens into a yoga class and/or clinical practice. These courses are offered through out Canada, most frequently in British Columbia and Alberta.

Course Outline

Training Objectives:
Participants develop a trauma informed lens to integrate into professional practice (health care provider, professional body worker, yoga teacher, mental health practitioner) through the training:
- Develop a foundational understanding of long term trauma
- Relate principles of trauma theory, attachment theory, and neuroscience to the methodology of TCTSY
- The application of invitational and inquiry based language within delivery of practice
