Meditation Chakralace
The 'Meditation Chakralace' is a tool for the beginner of meditation. Its' benefits include learning concentration while tuning the vibrational body.
The 'Meditation Chakralace' has 108 beads including seven beads that are of a larger size and a 'meru' bead, which is of a larger size than the seven. The Supreme Chakralace is identical; only doubled in size.
The seven larger beads separate the seven main 'subtle energy centers'.
When using the 'Meditation Chakralace' the meditator should practice a few breathing exercises to begin.
Sit in a comfortable position, or even lying down, either hold the mala in both hands or loop the mala over your head so that it lies over one shoulder and under the other.
Begin by finding the largest bead (meru) and the ten little beads. With the thumb and fourth finger, roll the first little bead away from you, resounding in your mind the seed syllable sound for the lowest chakra Lam (lum); 'breathing easy'. Continue moving from bead to bead until you feel one of the seven larger beads, take a deep 'yogi breath' (if an advanced breather, apply Jalandhara and Mula Bandhas) and then move on to the next group of ten beads, resounding the second seed syllable for your next chakra Vam (vum)&ldots;continue until you have resounded all seven chakras (Rum, Yum, Hum, Om, Aum), taking a deep 'yogi breath' at each of the seven larger beads; 'breathing easy' while resounding the smaller beads . After the last larger seventh bead, you are now ready to either resound an affirmation or seed syllable of your choice; 'breathing easy' while focusing on the last thirty-eight beads. (If you are using the 'Supreme Chakralace' you will resound the Chakras two times each and affirmations or seed syllable of your choice seventy-six times). Once you reach the 'meru' you are now ready to go back (do not pass over the meru) the other way if you wish&ldots;resounding your affirmation or seed syllable until you touch one of the seven large beads, taking a pranayama breath and then begin resounding the bija syllable starting at the seventh center and working your way down again to the first. As you become more familiar with the breathing, affirmations, and seed syllables, you can also resound seven different affirmations ten times each and the bija syllable sound of your choice thirty-eight times, practicing a pranayama breath at each of the seven larger beads. Your meditations will become more creative as you progress.
This meditation may take you one half hour to forty -five minutes!
Keep your consciousness on the chakra area you are meditating on; visualize the appropriate color. With affirmation repetition, keep your consciousness behind the eyes in the Ajna center, and focus on each word with the belief that your affirmation will manifest. Chances are, your mind will wander. Continue your resounding and eventually your mind will tire of the chatter and let you continue with your concentration.
Keep a journal of your meditations and what your experiences are. Over time you will thoroughly enjoy sitting down to meditate!
Bon Voyage!
*Please note that Bracelets, Anklets and Hiplaces can also be used for meditation
